Simply Eggcellent #4 – anything goes

1 June 2015 by Dominic Franks

… June.  Yeah you read that right.  June.  What the hell is going on?  One moment you’re rooting around in the loft space looking for the christmas decorations and the next moment it’s JUNE!  I think perhaps because we were away on adventures for christmas we didn’t really experience the slow, chilly nights and lazy days of doing nothing in front of the TV it all seemed to come and go so fast that the year has never really slowed down.  In one way it’s great but in another way i’d like to be able to take some time to savour the summer before that too goes by in a blur of  picnics on the beach and scone baking for summer fetes…

chocolate roulade with strawberries and cream

samphire and mushroom quiche

this month i’m happy for us all to celebrate the amazing adventures of the egg in all its glory… from the humble and savoury scrambled eggs to the fancy and sublime chocolate roulade… it could be a quiche for a picnic or a cake for a party… feel free to link-up your favourite recipes that contain free-range eggs.

how to take part in the simply eggcellent bloggers link-up

it’s really easy to take part; all you have to do is create a beautiful recipe using free-range eggs, post it up on your blog and then link back to this post… if you include my simply eggcellent badge in the post and use the link tool below I will collate all the posts at the end of every month and produce a special round-up of entries…

feel free to tweet and instagram me your pictures using the #simplyeggcellent hashtag and I will retweet and like all those I see… you can find me on social media @belleaukitchen

Anything goes is good for me and guess what Dom? We got two new chickens today, Maisie and Harriet join Blanche and Gertie, as I lost two of my lovely girls just before Christmas……I'll be back with EGGS galore! Karen

Well, with a theme like Anything Goes I think Fanny's Mocca Choca Omelette fits in perfectly…

I had to laugh at the rooting around in the loft for Christmas decorations comment. Like you I can't believe where this year has gone!
