… did I scare some of you away..? Did you think it would be all butterflies and bows..? well, yes and no… but you did me proud this month… you little random recipes rascals…
check out the round-up after the jump
Jean from Baking in Franglais has made these very chic little Chocolate and Cherry Puddings from 200 Slow Cooker Recipes that really took me back to my childhood and memories of steamed puddings… divine!
next up and all the way from the asiatic shores of Indonesia is Michael from Me, My Food and I with the incredibly exotic sounding Bebek Bacem Masak Adaliman… try saying THAT when you’re drunk… a duck dish, taken from a book in his mums cookbook collection, Lauk Bumbu Basem by Aan Roswaty… how interbloodynational are we!!
next is the adorable Karen from Lavender and Lovage who has a special pile of summer reading from which she pulled an incredibly colourful and summery Peperonata taken from The Classic Mediterranean Cook Book
and next is the Fabulicious Ren from Fabulicious Food with something a little different in the form of an Ottoman inspired dish of Watermelon and Feta Salad Za’atar Crumble taken from Silvena Rowe’s Orient Express… and no kids, that’s not a piece of seating…
Johanna the Green Gourmet Giraffe braved the random recipes this month and very nearly came a cropper with RRE (that’s Random Recipe Etiquet to you and me) but stuck to her guns and produced a delightful looking Roasted Potato Salad with Black Olives and Greens taken from Veggie Burgers – Every Which Way
another RRV here… well Caroline from Caroline Makes took part in the mass photo session last month but proper RR this time and she even managed to pick a cake type thing with these yummy Triple Chocolate Crunch Bars from The Fairtrade Everyday Cookbook by Sophie Grigson
ing is all about… I love it!!
and there goes another fabulous round-up… once again you honour and humble me in equal measure… without you I am but a sad lonely blogger… and because I love you so much I have something rather wonderful lined up for September… you’ll just have to wait and see…

Ooh, can't wait!
Another fab round up, Dom. A few I still have to read. Nice to see so many new ones this month too.

Great selection. Love the idea of banana mousse, that one definitely appeals to me!
Susie @ Fold in the Flour says
Fantastic round up Dom, and some great first time entries to discover new blogs with. Can't believe I missed it this time – the end of the month always seems to come around too quickly at the moment. π Still, always next month …
The KitchenMaid says
So many lovely things here! Alas, I am working, but I will be back to have a proper look and to scout through everyone's entries. Can you believe it is September on Saturday? Where has the year gone? x

This temptation must stop.

What a lovely roundup – sorry I wasn't able to participate this month. Frantically baking and icing wedding cakes for tomorrow! I did try – Tuesday I attempted my challenge recipe – lamb garlic and rosemary risotto, but when I unwrapped it the lamb was decidedly iffy, so we had pasta with a jar of tomato sauce – didn't think that was very blog worthy!!!! Looking forward to September though…

I love reading your comments one the round up Dom, you are such a flatterer π
I particularly enjoyed seeing Fiona from Tiffin blog's entry as I have that Australian Woman's Weekly chinese cook book and whilst it's pretty old school, it's actually quite brilliant. Simple recipes and made only with ingredients that you could get even in the 80s rather than complicated things that you have to search for. Every recipe I've tried from it has been delicious

You, a sad and lonely blogger – ha ha ha! Great round-up Dom. Thanks so much for keeping us entertained and stopping us becoming sad and lonely bloggers.
A Trifle Rushed says
Goodness fantastic entries this month. I'll be home next week so will have a greater selection of books to choose from (I'm not sure if that's good or not.)
I'm so glad I'd eaten lunch before reading all these inspiring dishes and I can see that there are quite a few books missing from my collection!
Looking forward to September…. I think!
Jacqueline says
Great roundup. I just didn't have the time to enter this month. Just call me a social butterfly (just not online) π
Vanessa @ Cakes and Teacups says
Plates from around the world indeed! I'm drooling over everyone's recipe. Thank you for the kind introduction and words (big happy smile on my face π Great! Round up, looking forward to September and visiting all of the wonderful entries blog. : )

Another great round up as usual! I'm so sorry that I didn't manage to take part this month (I even had the book picked out!) – I fell victim to the sun and made the most of it being Summer here and so of course the month has flown by! Looking forward to next month's challenge though : )
Blue Kitchen Bakes says
Can't believe I ended up missing this. I picked my recipe properly using a random number generator and fully intended on taking part. Sadly life got in the way I didn't end up having time to do it, hopefully next month will be a bit calmer!
Janice says
Enjoyed seeing all the entries as usual. Long live RR!
Phil in the Kitchen says
Another excellent set of random loveliness. There's quite a range of cookbooks out there. Slightly apprehensive about what challenge is coming up in September, but trying to stay calm.

A wonderful round up so much to explore! Loving the lebanses chicken dish and the Chinese chicken – they both look very authentic. Will be trying! Thanks for including the Ottoman salad π

You missed me out!!
I know my Chickpea Patties weren't THAT photogenic, but I suffered them in silence in the interests of the competition.
