Simply Eggcellent #7 – cakes

1 September 2015 by Dominic Franks

toffee coffee vanilla naked layer cake

… well it is my birthday month and I mean to celebrate with plenty of cake so this September i’d like to see all your cake recipes… which use glorious free-range eggs of course. This way, by the time I turn 45 on the 24th I should have plenty of inspiration… it’s as simple as that… oh and i’m not fussy.  I’ll take anything from your basic iced cupcake all the way up to one of those triple layer, icing dripping down the sides monster cakes and all the way in between… traybake cakes, brownies, roulades, sponge cakes, fairy cakes… you can see I don’t care I just want to stuff them in my gullet.  So go get baking!

how to take part in the simply eggcellent bloggers link-up

it’s really easy to take part; all you have to do is create any beautiful cake recipe using free-range eggs, post it up on your blog and then link back to this post… if you include my simply eggcellent badge in the post and use the link tool below I will collate all the posts at the end of every month and produce a special round-up of entries…

feel free to tweet and instagram me your pictures using the #simplyeggcellent hashtag and I will retweet and like all those I see… you can find me on social media @belleaukitchen

I love eating cakes but haven't made one for a while. I'll try and have a go though. Now the weather is getting a little cooler I'm starting to want more desserts!
