I’ve never really wanted children of my own (sorry mum) and when I see my friends with their new babies, running around like loons, feeding, nappy changing, searching desperately for childcare, preparing meals, pulling their hair out and barely sleeping for years, I realise how much I enjoy my freedom… but I think running two challenges at the same time this month was perhaps a little like having my own precious brats… or at least one child of my own with my Random Recipes and then looking after a friends… hosting Sarah’s Forever Nigella challenge was a privilege but boy did it keep me on my toes… every day, just as I thought I could relax… ‘ping’ would go my email telling me another entry needed attention…
… I’m really not complaining, it has been a joy to host and well, just look at the results… some stunning entries, so colourful and fresh… well done to us one and all!
and don’t forget to tune in to June’s seaside edition of Forever Nigella #6 ‘Sea, Fish and Eat It’ which is hosted by Kat at Housewife Confidential.

Brilliant round-up Dom, I really enjoyed reading everyone's contributions and have LOADS of inspiration now for lots of yummy Nigella-salad-stylee tea
The KitchenMaid says
Oh you poor thing – now sit down and have a large g&t like every other frazzled parent does at the end of the day (at least, that's what it says to do in the manual that came with the Small Girl…). Great round up – looking forward to seeing Random Recipes too (no pressure mind!)
Michelle Peters - Jones says
Dom, you missed me out :-(( I don't think I forgot to send you my entry did I?

What a wonderful variety and a few I've not seen by email so I must go and visit them. Thanks for being such an excellent host!
I quite agree about the work involved with children… sadly/fortunately no-one ever explains the full magnitude of this in advance.
Dom at Belleau Kitchen says
@ Michelle, sorry honey I didn't get one from you for this (you sent me your RR entry…) god I hate it when I miss people out, I feel so guilty!… it's like being a shepherd and losing one of your flock!!!
Michelle Peters - Jones says
LOL, at the shepherd, Dom… no matter… I would lose myself if I didn't know I was around :-))
Les rêves d'une boulangère (Brittany) says
Oh! All of those salads look so delicoius..and of course they are, seeing as they're Nigella recipes. The aubergine salad looks really “up my alley”..

these all look great and as for all theses cooks writing and taking quality photos of their food and writing with a passion about their love of food and cooking, I feel right at home.
I must have a go at the fish dish.
